We're now seeking an experienced, motivated, and customer-focused specialist to join our Warehouse & Distribution team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and technical/operational aspects of Warehouse, Distribution, and Road Freight services, contributing at local, regional, and European levels.

As part of the European Warehouse, Distribution, and Road Freight team, you'll support customer-focused development in logistics, SCM, and road transportation, while also assisting with sales and technical product development.

Key responsibilities:

  • As a forwarding merchant (m/f/d), you are responsible for supporting your existing customers in all matters relating to the operational handling of shipments
  • You will coordinate, prioritize and monitor order control, processing of incoming and outgoing warehouse shipments.
  • You organize courier trips for shipments, keep statistics on transport incidents and evaluate them.
  • You process and plan the loading space registration of different loads (Groupage, LTL, FTL, Courier, etc.) and ensure that deadlines are met
  • You are the contact person (m/f/d) for returns and complaints processing
  • You check incoming orders and supplier invoices, record shipments and create shipping documents and outgoing invoices
  • You communicate with assigned contractors regarding the transport processing in incoming goods, outgoing goods, customs clearance and distribution
  • You communicate directly with customers as well as with all internal departments and ensure a good flow of information
  • You will maintain and expand relationships with partners (3rd parties) 
  • For a forwarding merchant, a diverse and varied range of tasks awaits you, including quality monitoring and contributing new ideas to actively improve processes while cooperating with other teams
Your profile
  • You have an education as a forwarding agent or a comparable commercial education in logistics or experience in the logistics industry
  • At least minimum 3-4 years of Specialist Logistics Services experience in Warehousing, Distribution and Road Freight services.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of contract logistics operations and overland transportation is required, additional knowledge of customs, ocean freight, air freight is a plus.
  • You have experience in dealing with key performance indicators (KPI's) as well as an understanding of warehouse management systems and process flows.
  • In addition, experience or knowledge in dealing with customers from different industries is desirable.
  • You have a strong customer orientation, good communication skills and a friendly and open personality
  • You enjoy working independently and on your own responsibility
  • You speak English (B2+ or better), above that any other European language is welcome
  • You have team spirit and social skills with the ability to fit in well in intercultural team
  • Technical knowledge of MS Suite (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) and standard logistics software (TMS, CRM, etc.).
  • You like to travel in Europe for business from time to time
