Procurement Specialist (m/f/d)

Your mission
We are looking for a driven and experienced Procurement Specialist to lead sourcing activities, freight forwarding procurement, contract management, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
In this role, you will play a key part in building and optimizing our supplier pool, driving cost-effective freight strategies, and enhancing procurement structures and systems across our logistics network. You’ll turn data into actionable insights, streamline processes, and ensure our procurement operations are efficient, strategic, and future-ready.
  • Manage RFx processes (RFI, RFQ, RFP) for freight and logistics services, with a focus on Road Freight
  • Analyze rates and pricing data (e.g., GPMS) and recommend sourcing strategies
  • Build, develop, and evaluate a competitive supplier pool
  • Monitor supplier KPIs and drive continuous improvement
  • Conduct logistics market research and benchmark analysis
  • Prepare bidding evaluations and procurement reports
  • Support contract coordination and ensure policy compliance
  • Optimize procurement processes, SOPs, and system utilization
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve workflow transparency
Your profile
  • Completed degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a comparable qualification
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in procurement, ideally within logistics or freight forwarding
  • Strong analytical mindset and negotiation skills
  • Structured and solution-oriented working style
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office with focus on Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams; experience with SAP or GPMS is a plus
  • Solid understanding of logistics markets and sourcing processes
  • Languages: Fluent in English and German; additional languages such as Czech or Slovak are a plus
