Your mission

The mission of this role is to drive sustainable commercial growth and strengthen Hyundai GLOVIS Europe’s competitive position in the global freight‑forwarding market, with a strong focus on Ocean, Air, and OCF business, by:
  • Expanding the forwarding business across Austria and Europe with a clear emphasis on global import/export flows, OCF solutions, and multimodal logistics.
  • Developing and executing a forwarding‑centric commercial strategy, aligned with global market trends and GHQ direction, to achieve long‑term and profitable growth.
  • Acquiring new clients and developing high‑value forwarding accounts, particularly customers requiring complex, international logistics and supply‑chain solutions.
  • Acting as a trusted commercial advisor, offering tailored global forwarding and OCF solutions while ensuring high customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Leading and further developing Logistics and Forwarding teams (approx. 15 employees), with a strong focus on forwarding excellence, performance management, and commercial alignment.
  • Strengthening cross‑functional collaboration with Operations, Finance, and regional/global stakeholders to ensure seamless end‑to‑end service delivery.

Your profile

Professional Background & Experience

Industry Expertise

  • Several years of senior experience in global freight forwarding, ideally within international forwarding companies 
  • Strong hands‑on knowledge of OCF business, including ocean freight (FCL/LCL), air freight, and global trade lanes
  • Solid understanding of international logistics operations, pricing models, and forwarding workflows

Sales & Business Development

  • Proven success in acquiring global forwarding clients and closing high‑value, long‑term contracts
  • Demonstrated experience in expanding forwarding business within Austria and the European market
  • Strong ability to drive profitable growth, manage complex tenders, and negotiate international forwarding agreements

Leadership & Team Management

  • Experience managing forwarding and logistics teams, including Team Leaders and operational staff
  • Strong competence in setting KPIs, driving performance, and developing forwarding talent
  • Ability to align operational execution with commercial and strategic objectives

  • Experience in commercial project management within forwarding environments

  • Ability to translate commercial forwarding requirements into practical operational execution
  • Strong understanding of end‑to‑end global forwarding processes

  • Confident presenting commercial insights and proposals to senior management and HQ

Education & Additional Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, Economics, or similar
  • Fluent German and English
  • Valid driver’s license
