Accounting Specialist (m/w/d)

Your mission

  • Review, verify, and process incoming vendor invoices
  • Clarify invoice discrepancies with vendors and internal departments
  • Enter and maintain invoice data in the TMS CargoWise system
  • Monitor payment due dates and prevent overdue notices
  • Prepare and validate monthly outgoing invoices
  • Track outstanding receivables and follow up with internal teams
  • Prepare AP and AR data for SAP posting, ensuring correct allocation to cost centers and accounts
  • Post incoming and outgoing invoices, claims, and accruals in SAP FI
  • Support monthly closing activities, reporting, and financial analysis
  • Prepare sales estimations, accrual lists, and supporting documentation
  • Provide general administrative support and assist with office management tasks

Your profile

  • Completed commercial training (e.g. office management) with a focus on finance, accounting, or controlling
  • Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in accounting; more experience is an advantage
  • Solid knowledge of accounts payable and receivable as well as month-end closing processes
  • Strong experience with SAP ERP (FI); knowledge of CargoWise is a plus
  • Fluent in German and English (spoken and written)
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Strong analytical thinking and structured working style with attention to detail
  • High level of reliability, accuracy, and sense of responsibility
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across international teams
  • General understanding of forwarding processes and cargo handling is advantageous
